Milan Fashion Week soon!!

Finally June is arrived!! It keep sun, hot and Fashion week. It will be from 22nd to 25th and the casting will be start the week before, just Dolce & Gabbana’s casting is already stared on Sicily.. The city will be full of male models, top models, scouter fashion bloggers and journalists . The castings will be very crazy, sometimes you can wait 2 or 3 hours, you need to run all day around the city to try don’t be late…It’s very easy miss someone.
How can you make the castings?How can can be on casting list?
Every agency have a team of models, they send on this day the bust called the Show Package to all client and their sometimes choose a few model and make a list for call back.You can find the Show Package of most important agencies of London, Milan, Paris, New York, Berlin etc. on www.models.com
I will be very happy and glad if I will take also only one show because is awesome repeat that experience, but I know that is very hard, and it’s more hard for Italian models!!
The time for runway is coming!!!

Questo si terrà dal 22 al 25 e i casting partiranno la settimana precedente, solo quello di Dolce & Gabbana è già iniziato in Sicilia. La città sarà piena di modelli, top, scout, fashion bloggers e giornalisti. I casting saranno infernali, a volte toccherà aspettare 2 o 3 ore e si dovrà correre tutto il giorno per tutta la città per cercare di non fare tardi, a volte infatti capita di perderne qualcuno.
Come fare i casting? Come essere in casting list?Ogni agenzia ha una squadra di modelli, che invia proprio in questi giorni in delle buste chiamate Show Package a tutti i clienti, questi a volte fanno una selezione preliminare e mandano in agenzia la lista del call back.
Puoi trovare gli Show Package delle principali agenzie di Londra, Milano, Parigi, New York, Berlino, ecc. su www.models.com.
Sarò davvero felice ed orgoglio se riuscirò a prendere anche solo una sfilata perchè sapebbe stupendo poter ripetere questa bellissima esperienza, ma so che è molto difficile, ed è ancora più difficile per i modelli italiani.
Il tempo di sfilare è arrivato!!!

Immagine Hi everybody, sorry to be late, but today was a very long day that start with wait for 3 hours one professor to do a exam. Exam?? Professor?? Yes I’m student, but that is other part of my life. My business part is model life right now… But What does he do??? every people think that the model make,only, the catwalk… This is the small part of models job. Other jobs are: Campaign, advertising, television, on paper, editorial, but also job in private parties,  and job and image works. Sometimes, on a few countries, you can work like Steward. Another Important part of models job is Castings,gym, and diet. Gym & diet?? Yes it’s very important that your body and your skin are ate the best!!

moreover the model, do the work hat usually id for photomodels. that laser work plus on square more commercial. So, good job!!!

Ciao a tutti e scusate per il ritardo, ma è stata una giornata infinita, iniziata con un’attesa di un professore che si è presentato con ben due ore di ritardo per un esame, snervante… Professore?? Esame?? Si sono studente, ma questo è un altro lato della mia vita… La parte dedicata al business è quella del modello. Ma in cosa consiste i lavoro di modello?Nell’immaginario comune, il lavoro del modello è solo quello della passerella, ma questa è solo una piccola parte del lavoro di modello. Altre sono: campagne pubblicitarie, pubblicita, cartollenistica, volantini, ma anche lavori d’immgine nei locali, locali, o feste private, altre volte, in altri paesi, lavoriamo come steward. Credo che il lavoro non si debba limitare a quello commissionato, ma anche a ciò che gira inrorno al modello, cioè casting, palestra e dieta. Palestra e Dieta??? SI, avete capito ben, palestra e dieta! Credo che essere sempre in piena forma, sia di importanza basilare per lavorare.
Inoltre, solitamente, il modello fapure il fotomodello, quest’ultimo, solitamente, lavora su piazze più commerciali dove l’altezza non fondamentale, ma la proporzione si!!! Impossibile a Milano o Parigi!Ora non mi rimane che augurarvi buon lavoro!!

Nobody born model! Everybody are scouted

ImmagineHi guys! Today I wanna talk to move your …°@°!! You can’t go inside the fashion world just because you was born like model!!! Yes, ok, you need some measures, but how many people could be model or also Top model but are doing some bad work?? A lot!! If you have not the luck to be scouted on the street, on the beach or on supermarket so you need to move on agency!!
But pay attention to go on best agency or talk with good scout!! You need to take care and take some feedback to don’t lose your time or also your money!!
If you need help you can contact me!! I can recommend the best agency or best scout in Italy, Europe and Asia!! I will happy to help you! You need just the “snaps” or “polas”(simple pictures 1 front, both side and both 45°).

Ciao ragazzi, oggi voglio parlarvi e spronarvi ad alzare il cu.. e prendere iniziativa!! Nel mondonon si entra perchè si nasce modelli! Si bisogna avere le misure giuste, ma quanti ragazzi protrebbero essere modelli o addirittura diventare Top model e invece sono rilegati a fare lavori poco edificanti? Se non avete la fortuna di essere accalappiati da qualche agente, al mare, per strada o al supermercato, allora fatevi avanti e andate voi per agenzie!! Ma mi raccomando, fate attenzione! Informatevi bene, prima e dopo, potreste perdere tempo, nel migliore dei casi, o anche soldi… Mi rendo disponibile per aiutarvi a muovere i primi passi della vostra carriera. Non abbiate paura, contattatemi, vi saprò aiutare a trovare le migliori agenzie in Italia, Europa o Asia. Vi serviranno solo delle “snaps” o “polaroid” (foto semplici frontali, due laterali e due 45°)

Today I wanna talk about something is very near of model’s career, like an business man, also models, with scout or booker help, need to find what market is the best to work. Every profile can find a good market, but how make choose?? So, I think the best target is increase your happiness!
The first think is: What do you want about your career? Travel, make money, began Top, build portfolio etc..
If you want to make money, and you are a new face, the best place is China, Shanghai Beijing or Guangzhou, but you will not make good pictures for your  portfolio.
If you want build your portfolio, the best place in Asia are Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, they have good photographer and good magazines..
What about Europe?? The Top market are Paris, Milan and London, Where it’s hard find jobs due to competition..
One good market to increase portfolio is Greece, but now for crisis and political problems is very hard make money there and sometimes you need to use your money!!
Moreover, other two countries very good to make money are Germany and Turkey (Istanbul), It’s very commercial market, but I think could be great to make money!!The Top fashion market are: New York, Paris, Milan, London, Tokyo, Sao Paulo, Hamburg, Munich, Copenhagen, Barcelona, Hong Kong, Capetown
Top commercial market: Berlin, Istanbul, Shanghai, Dubai, Beijing, Bangkok, Seoul, Taiwan.
…And now you must to find your market!!!

Oggi voglio parlarvi di qualcosa veramente vicina alla carriera dei modelli; come un qualsiasi imprenditore, anche i modelli, con l’aiuto degli agenti, devono capire quale sia il miglior mercato in cui andare a a lavorare. Ogni profilo avrà il proprio mercato. Ma, come sceglierlo?? Beh, io sceglierei quello che ti rende più felice!! Dunque una prima distinzione, la si può fare, capendo cosa si vuole dalla propria carriera: viaggiare, far soldi, ambizioni Top, costruire portfolio.
Se siete dei volti nuovi e volete divertirvi, far soldi, esperienza quindi lavorare tanto, ma con foto di non ottima qualità, la Cina è il paese perfetto, precisamente Shanghai, Beijing o Guangzhou.
Se volete lavorare sul vostro portfolio, e rimanere in Asia, non ci sono destinazioni migliri di Malaysia, Singapore e Indonesia, posti non ottimali per far soldi, ma con tanti fotografi di talento e tanti buoni magazines!
Riguardo l’Europa, ovviamente, i mercati Top sono Parigi, Milano e Londra, dove,causa la grande concorrenza, è difficile lavorare, ma è possibile far soldi e fare dei bei servizi fotofrafici.
Un altro mercato in cui far crescere il proprio portfolio è quello Greco, anche se in questi anni, causa la crisi, è difficile o quasi impossibile far soldi, anzi spesso bisogna attingere alle proprie tasche…
Altri due mercati dove poter far soldi sono il tedesco e il turco (Istanbul).
I mercati Top sono: New York, Parigi, Milano, Londra, Tokyo, Sao Paulo, Amburgo, Monaco di Baviera, Copenhagen, Barcellona, Hong Kong, Citta del capo
Top commercial market: Miami, Berlino, Istanbul, Shanghai, Dubai, Pechino, Bangkok, Seoul, Taiwan.
…e ora non vi rimane che trovare il vostro mercato ottimale!!

Test Shooting
What is??? The T.S. is a trial session where photographer and model try old or new techniques. There are a few type of T.S., Free test o Paid test.
The first is a collaboration of photographer, Make Up Artist, Hair Stylist and Stylist for free where everybody looking for find a few pictures to put in portfolio.
The Paid test could be:

  • from model that want refresh his portfolio or change his figure, so it’s very important that all staff works to find what the model want!! You can find a lot of different price from 1 test,from 150€ to 700€, depend of photographer, M.U.A., Stylist. Normally the price is 250 for photographer, 100 for stylist, and 50/100 for M.U.A. but sometimes the photographer,with experience, could make M.U.A. and H.S. for you to pay less.
  • From photographer, to renew portfolio, where the model(paid) must to make what the photographer want!!

For a good result it’s very important have M.U.A and Stylist.
So think to make a test shooting is a investment on themselves!

Entriamo nel linguaggio tecnico per introdurvi al mondo della moda.
Il Test Shooting
Cos’è?? Il T.S. è una vera e propria prova nella quale fotografo e modello sperimentano le proprie tecniche.
Vi sono più tipi di Test: Free test o Paid test.
Il primo è una collagorazione da parte di modello, fotografo, M.U.A., hair stylist e stylist a titolo gratuito nel quale si cerca il risultato migliore per tutti, in modo da poter mettere qualche scatto in portfolio.
Il test pagato può essere:

  • da parte del modello che vuole rinfrescare la propria immagine, dunque è molto importante che lo staff lavori in funzione del progetto che il modello vuole ottenere. Il costo può oscillare dai 150 ai 700€ in funzione del fotografo, dello stylist e dell’eventuale presenza di Make Up Artist e Hair stylist. Normalmente il prezzo è 250€ per il fotografo, 100€ per lo stylist e 50/100€ per M.U.A.; spesso per noi modelli il ruolo del M.U.A. viene svolto dal fotografo stesso, se esperto.
  •  Da parte del fotografo che vuole rinnovare il proprio portfolio, in questo caso il modello,pagato, dovrà mettersi a disposizione del fotografo per ottenere il risultato sperato da questo.

In entrambi i casi, per un risultato ottimale, è fondamentale la presenza di M.U.A. e Hair Stylist, ma sopratutto dello Stylist.
Dunque pensare di pagare un Test shooting è un investimento su se stessi! A buon rendere 😉

imagesAll of models want to be “fashion” but,, of course, with a lot of different style, sometimes also dubious beauty, influenced from the cultures of different counties. Top excluded, all models prefer buy cheap… The main brands are: H&M, Zara, Alcott, Pull and Bear, Bershka, and also Abercrombie, and why not, also the fake market… a lot of models buy “fake!!” For our luck, sometimes, the clients give his stuff, for example on my last Dolce & Gabbana fashion show they give me: 1 pair of shoes, 1 pant, 1 t.shirt, 1 pair of socks and 1 pair of underpants… I will show you the model style, in castings, in parties on the street… the style lesson will start soon.. but don’t take all!!! 😉

La maggior parte dei modelli vuole essere “alla moda” ma ovviamente si trovanogli stili più variegati,spesso anche di dubbiogusto, influenzati dalle culture dei paesi d’origine. Top a parte, tutti i modelli preferiscono vestire “cheap” e le catene prese di mira sono: H&M, Zara, Alcott, Pull and Bear, Bershka, ma anche Abercrombie e perchè no, anche la merce di imitazione. Anche se non si direbbe, ma tantissimi modelli comprano fake! Per fortuna, a volte i clienti regalano i capi indossati durante il lavoro, ad esempio, durantante l’untima sfliata di Dolce & Gabbana al fashion week milanese, mi hanno regalato: 1 paio di scarpe, 1 pantalone da tuta, una maglietta, un paio di calzini e un paio di mutande. Vi mostrerò lo stile dei modelli, durante i castings, i parties, e durante la vita quotidiana… Pronti per questa lezione di stile?? Ma, mi raccomando, non prendete proprio tutto quello che vedrete!
